Reflection: Photoblog Theme
Due to popular demand, my photoblog theme — the creatively named Reflection — is now available for download.
I was quite shocked by the amount of people that said they wanted this thing. I thought it was actually okay, but not good enough to publish. However people seem to think otherwise so I decided to put it up.
Design-wise it’s all very simple. There’s a heavy amount of AJAX behind the front page, but it’s handled in a graceful way should JavaScript not be running. Everything on the site uses mootools for any AJAX requests or effects, which is a cracking little library. By far and away the best 3rd party JS library I’ve ever seen.
Anyway. If you want it, go grab it and tell me what you think.

Hi Dave,
Your Reflection template for photoblogging is just great!
I would have liked to use it but when clicking on the link I have a error message: “No post matches your criteria.”
Is the template still available?
Thanks for your answer!

Hi Dave,
It’s fantastic! I have successful file download, set permission (cache 777), activate YAP plugin, and select beauty theme.
I tried a post, but i have fatal error message: “call to a member function getThumbnailHref() on a non-object in …/yapb_filter.php on line 9″.
I tried search the function, but i don’t found it. If you know this error then please help me! Thank you!

Hello,
Wonderful theme. I just tried the install and got the following error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/content/h/c/h/hchangodaddy/html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/reflection/index.php on line 20
Any advice?
Thanks.

Hi all,
Sorry for the slow response, best to send me an e-mail if you don’t hear anything from me:
gorati:
You probably have a post which does not contain an image which causes this error. I’ll add this to the list of things to correct, but in the meantime you should try to delete any posts which don’t contain images.
analgesia-doc, Justin:
Creating the page isn’t quite enough. You need to select the Mosaic Page template. In WordPress 2.5.1 in the Create Page screen, go to the bottom, click the arrow next to Page Template and change Default Template to Mosaic Page. You can then put in custom content to be shown above the mosaic and call the page whatever you want.
Hank:
I think this is because you’re using PHP4. Try upgrading to PHP5 and see if the error disappears. If you don’t have the option to upgrade, then let me know and I’ll put a fix in for it.

Hi Dave,
I realized that YAPB causes the problem. I don’t create upload directory in WordPress. I’m sorry, and I say thank you for your answer!
The theme works, and fantastic!
